Project 1 - Youth Led Community Mural

  • pRYEde Community Group is looking for Middle and High School students to participate in our 3rd annual Youth Led Community Mural Project
  • Students from many towns and schools come together to brainstorm and then paint a large outdoor mural that will be shared in public parks and community locations throughout our area
  • The outdoor mural will be based on themes of kindness, positivity, inclusion and celebration of LGBTQ+ identities
  • Students will first brainstorm a message and visual they want to create together over Zoom in late April and early May
  • Local artist Donna Wundeler will help to cohese the ideas into a mural outline
  • Students will come together in groups in Rye to paint the mural over the month of May
  • The will be unveiled as part of Pride Fair and Parade Celebration at Rye Town Park on Saturday June 10th
  • This is a great opportunity to meet other LGBTQ+ students and allies from outside your school or town!
    • You don't have to be great artist to participate! All talents and skill levels are welcome!
